NEWBORN SESSION INFORMATION
It is best to have newborn photos taken of your baby by the time he/she reaches 14 days of age. I like to have the moms schedule with me while they are pregnant to hold their spot on my calendar. If you have already done a maternity session with me chances are we have done the scheduling part already. Obviously the time of birth is unpredictable, but I put you on the schedule the week of your due date. If I don’t here from you by the time your due date arrives, I will contact you. I like to have moms contact me within 48 hours of birth so we can schedule the newborn session. I have tons of props and we can discuss what you would like me to bring with me to your home for your photoshoot.
I will also email you an information sheet explaining how you can get your baby ready for the big day. Sleeping babies will perform best for all the popular newborn poses. I do my best to get baby to sleep for these shots. Sometimes it takes me only a few minutes and sometimes it takes longer. I am prepared either way! Awake babies are cute too! They just don’t stay all scrunched up and posed. I will try to capture the baby awake for you too if they are awake.
